The First Year program’s mission is to equip future professionals with knowledge, tools, and strategies to lead in sustainable, data-driven asset management. Through a curriculum grounded in asset-based planning, students learn to develop and implement Resource Management Plans (RMPs) that promote Total Resource Management. Our goal is to raise the standard of excellence in resource stewardship, empowering graduates to make more efficient decisions that extend asset life, enhance service delivery, increase safety, and ensure long-term sustainability across all sectors.
Goals
Students graduate with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to independently develop a complete, defensible Resource Management Plan (RMP) from start to finish.
